There are so many benefits to working out, one benefit is not better than the other, but these are my top 3.
#1 Endorphins.
No matter how tired I am, how sluggish I feel or bummed out I am, after a workout all of it goes away. Once you start moving your body, somehow your body finds the energy to continue and push through. I find it truly amazing that if I would of stayed in my sluggish mood, I would not have even found the energy to make something for dinner but on the other hand if I start to exercise, the energy slowly starts to appear and before I know it I’m running up mountains, or biking KM’s or lifting crazy heavy weights, or hanging onto the side of a mountain by my fingertips. And when it’s all said and done, I might be tired but my mood is so much better, my thoughts are clear and I over all feel better.
#2 Friends
We are so isolated in the world today. It’s harder than ever for people to make lasting friendships, or even good friends for that matter. When you join a team sport like soccer or hockey, you become part of a team, part of something bigger than yourself. And not only that but you form bonds with your team mates. It’s not only team sports it can be more solo things like running or biking and even weight lifting, when you do it with a friend the time-shared strengths your relationship.
#3 Health
Hands down exercise benefits your health, it makes you feel stronger emotionally and physically, gives you more energy, clears your thoughts, and prevents 100’s of diseases and injuries. Working out right can fix your posture, which in turn can help so many things from muscle fatigue, back pain, headaches and the list goes on.
Work outs can also: improve self confidence, reduces stress, prevents cognitive decline, alleviates anxiety, boost brainpower, sharpens memory, helps control addictions, increase relaxation (helps you sleep), more energy, tap into creativity, inspire others, and much more.
