Day 2 - The real key to achieving your health goals

How to keep yourself on tract and the biggest thing you need to know is your “WHY”. Why are you getting out of bed at 4am? Why are you not going to eat junk food? Why are you pushing through the pain of lifting heavy weights? This answer has to come from within and has to be very meaningful to you and if this why is meaningful enough to you, you can accomplish anything.


We are programed to move away from something painful more than move towards something pleasurable. So, it’s great to have a positive “why” but a painful “why” will motivate you more. I understand that you may not want to focus on the negative but if you are looking for motivation you will find it there.


Morning run
What get you out and exercising in the morning?

Take these two “whys” for example, the positive “why” is “I want to be healthier” a nice positive why but at 4am in the morning that’s not going to get me out of bed, I’ll tell myself that its healthier to keep sleeping 😊. The painful “why” is “if I don’t exercise, I will become very unhealthy and most likely not see my children graduate and my spouse will find me unattractive” if that was my “why” it would get me out of bed at 4am.


Put your why in places you need the motivation, beside your bed for you to see it in the morning or in the fridge, on the dash of your car so you don’t go through the drive-thru or on the front door.


Remember is has to make you feel something inside or it will not work.
